鮭は川産まれで、海育ち。

川で産まれた鮭たちは、北の海へと旅立ちます。

北半球の海で先輩の鮭たちと合流して一緒に回遊します。

4年ほど経つと、産卵のために故郷の川へ戻ってきます。


磨さんは、

次の世代へ命を繋ぐため、身をすり減らしながらも
川を遡上する鮭の姿を勇ましく思い、

詠った短歌です。
