宮城県石巻市の川開きのお祭りは、今年１００回目の記念のお祭りでした。

昭和の頃はずっと8月1日の夜に花火大会が開催されていました。


この時期、磨さんはいつも鮭漁を終えて、
ちょうど家に帰ってきていることが多かった記憶があります。

記念すべき100回目の川開き祭りは、それはたくさんの花火が上がったようで、
磨さんは、旧北上川に映える大きな美しい花火を俳句に詠みました。

The kawa-biraki festival in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi was the 100th anniversary festival this year.

During the Showa era, fireworks festivals were held on the night of August 1st.

I remember that during this period, Migaku-san would often come home just after finishing salmon fishing.

At the memorable 100th river opening festival, there seemed to be a lot of fireworks,
and Migaku-san wrote this haiku about the large, beautiful fireworks that reflected the old Kitakami River.
