宮城県で間欠泉のある温泉といえば、
鳴子（なるこ）温泉郷　鬼首（おにこうべ）温泉！

子供の頃、よく連れて行ってもらった思い出深い温泉です。

鬼首温泉の間欠泉「弁天」は、
約10分間隔で15メートルほど高く熱湯が噴き上がり、
近くで見ているとその熱さが伝わってくるほどです。

磨さんは、
ぶり大根を作りながら
圧力鍋から勢いよく噴き上がる蒸気を眺め、
家族で行った鬼首温泉の間欠泉の思い出と重ね、川柳に詠みました。

Speaking of hot springs with geysers in Miyagi Prefecture,
it is Onikobe Onsen in Naruko Onsenkyo!

This is a hot spring that I have fond memories of,
as I was often taken there when I was a child.

The geyser "Benten" in Onikobe Onsen gushes hot water about 15 meters high every 10 minutes,
and you can feel the heat when you look at it up close.

While making Buri Daikon, Migaku-san watched the steam rushing out from the pressure cooker,
and it reminded him of the geyser he visited with his family at Onikobe Onsen.
Migaku-san wrote this senryu poem about these memories.

Note;
Buri Daikon is a very popular Japanese dish especially in the winter.
It's simmered yellowtail with daikon (Japanese radish) seasoned with
stock, sake, sweet cooking rice wine, soy sauce, sugar, and ginger.
