常緑の木犀の中の赤い房南天たわわ朝日に照りて

『難を転じて福となす』

南天は縁起の良い木と言われています。

実家の庭にも、木犀の隣に南天が植えてあります。


磨さんは

寒い冬でも枯れることなく、

緑濃く生い茂った木犀の葉の中で

たわわに実る真っ赤な南天を眺め、

短歌に詠みました。


朝日に照らされた南天は、
より一層、映えて見えたことでしょう。

Nandina is said to be an auspicious tree.

In my parents' garden, a nandina planted next to a osmanthus tree.

The bright red nandina trees do not wither even in the cold winter,
and grow thickly among the densely green osmanthus leaves.
Migaku-san compose this tanka poem about the scene.

The fruit of nandina shined by the morning sun must have looked even more beautiful.
